In memory of

Jack Allen Saunders

July 28, 1934 - October 21, 2025

It is with great sadness and extreme love that we mourn the passing of Jack Allen Saunders who passed on Oct 21st 2025 at the age of 91.

Jack will be dearly missed by his beloved wife of 70 years Barbara, and their children Wendy (Chris), Cherri (Gary), and Doug (Kim). Proud grandfather to his treasured grandchildren Amanda (Mike), Michael (Kim), Corey (Alison), Melissa (Jordan), and Matthew. He was also an honored great-grandfather to Oliver, Finn, Elias, Kaiden, Noah, and Makenzie.

Jack was a devoted husband and dedicated father instilling his values on family life to all that knew him. He also thrived in social settings and enjoyed any opportunity for gatherings whether it was family functions or visits and events at the trailer. A skilled auto mechanic for all of his working years, he was always willing to lend a hand or suggestions to family and friends in need of car advice.

He was born and raised in the East York area of Toronto and was actively involved in many sports during his younger years. He excelled in softball in particular winning several championships in his teen years and brought that skill and knowledge to coaching in his married years. Also a tried and true Blue Jays fan, he followed them avidly from their beginning to his final days.

A celebration of life with family and friends will be held between 1-4 pm on Sunday November the 9th at St John’s Hall, 31 Bloor St East Oshawa at the rear of St John the Baptist Ukrainian Church.

Love you dad!
