In memory of

Ivor George Picton

February 5, 1936 -  June 12, 2023

Ivor G Picton died at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Monday June 12, 2023 of kidney failure following a heart attack on May 16, 2023. He passed peacefully in his sleep like he always said he wanted to after almost a month of fighting his hardest fight to stay longer with his family.

Ivor was a loving husband to Jean Picton and they celebrated 65 years of marriage on February 15, 2023. He was the worlds greatest dad to his son Neil Picton and his daughter Jayne Siberry. He was DeDe to Taryn Siberry, Breanna Hopkins, Tyson Picton and Braedan Picton whom he loved very much. He was also just presented with his first Great Grandson Rogal Hopkins, born to granddaughter Breanna Hopkins and her husband Jacob Hopkins on November 24, 2022.

Ivor was a kind gentle man who held family and friendships close to his heart. He will be missed greatly.

Best Grandpa there ever was. Working on his footy skills with Uncle Roy, he'll actually be able to see that ball🤪 Miss you with all my heart, I love you xo

Ivor was a kind peaceful man, our friendship started over 50 years ago,
In all those years it never faltered we had some wonderful times together
and I will miss him dearly.
He will always be in my thoughts I am so sad to have lost my closest friend.

Jean and family.
My deepest and most sincere sympathies in the passing of Ivor. He was a wonderful husband and father as well as a good friend to me and Dusty. We loved our times together eating dinner and playing cards. He will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Thinking of you and sending hugs and much love.

Love Marie.

My dad was the best father anyone could wish for. He was the most caring gentle man who didn’t judge and always tried to see the good side of things, even if there wasn’t really a good side.

He was loyal and protective to his wife and family. He tried so hard to stay with us starting 16 years ago when he went through double bypass surgery. A few years later he had to have a pacemaker and defibrillator put in. He never complained. He went through so much in the last month just to try to stay with us because we didn’t want him to go. I am so grateful for his strength and courage and I will miss him dearly.

He taught me what a good man looks like and I always felt safe.

Love you forever dad. 😘
