HELLO FAMILY & FRIENDS

It’s has been a very difficult week for us as our 88-year mother Iolyn Viola McDowall (1931-2019) sadly passed away on Wednesday, November 27th, 2019 at 11:45 am. She was born in Richland Park, St. Vincent, West Indies to Charles and Edith Thomas. She married the love of her life, Chieftain Walter McDowall in September 6th, 1950 who predeceased her in 1995
Our mother was an amazingly strong woman, raising 11 children. She was also so kind, loving and had a sweet gentle soul. Although this is a very sad time for our family, we also know that it was time for her to reconnect with our father Chieftain McDowall and some of my siblings. I’m sure they are so excited to be with her.

Our wonderful angel of a mother had eleven children four of then precedeceased her. Here children who predeceased her were Walterson Aristotle McDowall, her daughter, Sharmin McDowall, her son Fazal McDowall and her son Socrates Chieftanson McDowal
Those surviving her are her daughter Judith Ruth McDowall and her four children Samantha Miller and Samantha’s son Nicholas Janik-Miller, her daughter Diana Murray and her children Jenna, and Lea, Richard Murray and James Murray ; her daughter Mauline McDowall ; her son Mackson Plato McDowall and his son Taylor McDowall; her son Leo McDowall and his four children Alex, Christopher and Krystle (and Krystle’s son Collin Kinsley) and Ashley McDowall ; her son Anthony , son Eddy. McDowall.and and her daughter Sharleen McDowall 💕 Iolyn is survived by her brother Hilary Thomas and his wife Lorraine Thomas, her brother Glen Thomas and his wife Karen Thomas and their three children. In addition, the many members of her extended family mourn her passing
It was my mother’s wish for everyone to wear cheerful and colorful attire to celebrate her transition into her new life. She requested that we truly celebrate and be happy during this time. 🧡💚💙❤💜
