In memory of

Ioanna Jane Rombos

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ioanna Rombos on December 5, 2022 at the age of 82. Beloved wife of 63 years to Christos Rombos, loving mother to Lee and Tim, and proud grandmother to Thomas, Christian, Christopher and Janna.

Ioanna was an incredible woman who was loved by everyone who had the pleasure of being around her. She was not only a motherly figure to all, but also a hard-working businesswoman who helped open and run multiple restaurant concepts alongside her husband and two sons. Her knowledge and experience in the kitchen helped spur the creation of multiple recipes which are enjoyed by hundreds of Big Bone BBQ and Memphis BBQ customers every day.

When she wasn’t in the restaurant, Ioanna and her husband, Christos, were at church volunteering. Ioanna and Christos were one of the founding couples of the fellowship at St. Panteleimon Greek Orthodox Church of Markham. They could be found every Sunday morning helping out at the church bright and early. Ioanna was also a beloved member of the Ladies Philoptochos always assisting when needed.

Most importantly, Ioanna took tremendous pride in making sure her family was taken care of and especially looked forward to every moment she could spend with her grandchildren. She would host family dinners every Monday to gather all her children and grandchildren to enjoy one of the many wonderful meals she would prepare alongside her husband.

Ioanna leaves behind a legacy of love, integrity, kindness, and hard-work that all should aspire to live up to. Her presence will be deeply missed but her memory will live forever.

May you Rest In Peace Ioanna and may your Memory be Eternal. God Bless and continue to watch over all of us.
