It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Mr. Io Cheong Wong (黄耀璋). He passed away peacefully on Friday December 9th, 2016 at his home in Scarborough with his family by his side. He was 62 years old. Loving husband to Vinh Lan Thu, devoted father to his sons Henry and James.

Arriving to Canada with just a suitcase in 1982 from Macau, Mr. Io Cheong Wong (黄耀璋) worked tirelessly to ensure his family could enjoy a better upbringing then what he had growing up. Mr. Io Cheong Wong (黄耀璋) was a very hardworking, honest, responsible, and selfless father who always put the needs of his family and friends ahead of his own. He enjoyed reading, exercising, natural health, Tai Chi, WWE, professional sports, cooking for his family and being the overall handyman around the home.

He continuously surpassed medical opinion estimates by fighting valiantly against his lung cancer. Even until his last breath, he never gave up.

He will be sorely missed by us all.

我們懷著沈重的心情悼念黄耀璋。他在2016年12月9日星期五在家人陪伴下安詳地離世。享年六十二歲。他是一位好丈夫和深愛孩子們的父親。

1982年，他從澳門帶著一個皮箱來到了加拿大，撐起了全家生活的重擔，為的就給家人有更好的生活。他是一位勤奮，真誠，有責任感和無私奉獻的好父親。他總是把家人和朋友放在第一位。在世的時候，他喜歡閱讀，運動，鑽研養生之道，太極，看WWE，看職業球賽，為家人煮飯，和修理家裡大大小小的事物。

他不斷地超越了醫學評估，勇敢地對抗肺癌。甚至直到最後一口氣，他也沒有放棄。

我們永遠都會懷念著他。

我們特別感謝所有在The Scarborough Hospital 的醫護人員對他一直的照顧與治療。
