Inta Apse, a talented teacher, artist, photographer, and chef, passed away peacefully at the age of 74 on April 28 in her home. She will be deeply missed by her husband, Jānis Apse, her children, Martin and Anna, stepchildren, Krista and Lauris, and her many grandchildren, Mia, Alex, Blake, Jānis, Aksels, and Averie. Inta is also survived by her sister, Anna Majorińš, in Australia and her uncle, Julius Zigurds Valuks, of Toronto.
Inta was an inspiration to many, sharing her talents and skills with grace and generosity. She was a devoted mother who showed great patience and love to her children. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Madison and the staff at Symphony for their support, especially during the last few days.
A private family ceremony will take place in the fall in Toronto to celebrate Inta's life and legacy. She will always be remembered for her kindness, creativity, and dedication to those around her. Saldu dusu.
Family and friends are invited to share in a celebration of Jānis and Inta Apse on September 9, at 1 p.m. at York Cemetery and Funeral Centre. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. followed by a memorial reception.
