In memory of
Ingeborg "Ingrid" Berta Lymberis
March 9, 1940 -
October 22, 2022
Ingeborg "Ingrid" Berta Lymberis went to be with the Lord on Saturday October 22nd, 2022 at Lakeridge Gardens in Ajax, Ontario.
She was the loving and cherished mother of Heike Lyons-Gallant (Ken) and Andreas "Andy" Lymberis (Barbara). She was a fantastic grandma to Jennifer O'Hearn (Ryan), Andrew Lymberis (Ashley), Michael Lymberis (Kelsey), and Heidi Bateman (Kale). She was also a great-grandma to Gavin, Caden, Lucas, Carson, and Autumn.
Ingrid was born in Neu Ulm, Germany on March 9th, 1940. With her family, she migrated to Canada in the mid-1960s. Ingrid was always there for family. She cared for and loved her children very much and sacrificed her wants and needs for us always. She was a wonderful, kind and very generous woman. She was very classy and stylish. She was beautiful, inside and out.
Ingrid loved her FAMILY. She was all about family. She loved her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. She was her happiest when she could be with the entire family just watching each and every little one. As her families grew, her heart grew. She would spoil each and every single little one as well as the adults. Always very very generous even if she had little. She would give everything she had.
Ingrid always encouraged her daughter and her son to stay close and to enjoy each others families. She wanted our family traditions to continue even when she was gone.
Ingrid was very ambitious and quite the entrepreneur. She had her own ceramic business for years until her hands could no longer take the chemicals in the glazes but she switched gears very quickly. She took the money she made at the flea markets selling her ceramics, from pitchers and bowls with stands, to bathroom accessories, to figurines and even hand stained stunning pieces like her hunter with the dog and the fisherman, Christmas trees with lights, Santa and Mrs Claus and so many more wonderful and breathtaking pieces. She excelled and made the money to switch to having a jewellery store at the market. She was a very successful business woman. Her drive to succeed and work hard afforded her to purchase her very own home, a 2 Storey beautiful home on Invergordon in Scarborough.
After retiring, Ingrid dedicated over 10 years to take care of an alzheimer's patient named, Peter who she loved dearly. His wife had hired my mom in addition to the staff at the retirement home, to take care of him and caring for him she did. Ingrid was always excited to go and visit Peter. She would feed him, take him for walks, talk to him and just loved him. When he passed away, my Ingrid's heart was broken. Just mentioning his name, tears would run down her face.
We will miss her so much and our hearts ache, but she is in our Lord's arms now. He took her home peacefully and lovingly. She went to sleep and woke up in Heaven, no more pain...Now she is rejoicing and enjoying Jesus' awesome love and joy and peace.
She will be remembered as a mom, grandma, great-grandma and friend. She was a wonderful woman and left her mark in this world with the love she gave to each and every single one of us.
Until we meet again...
