In memory of

Ingalill Gunnel Amanda Saxena

April 8, 1931 -  May 3, 2024

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Ingalill Gunnel Amanda Saxena, in Toronto at Christie Gardens Retirement Home on Friday May 3rd, 2024 at the age of 93. She was a loving wife to the late Surendra Kumar Saxena, a proud mother to Rahul (Christine), Anna-Karin (Nick), and Nandini (Rajiv), and a devoted grandmother to Maxime, Maya and Oskar. Her family was very important to her and they will miss her dearly.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday May 8 from 5-8pm at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Cremation & Funeral Centres, 375 Mount Pleasant Road in Toronto. The funeral will take place on Thursday May 9 at 11am, followed by a reception at 12pm, both at St. Augustine of Canterbury Church, 1847 Bayview Avenue in Toronto.

Her family appreciates all condolences, well wishes and prayers received. In lieu of flowers, they invite donations to Doctors Without Borders or the Swedish Church of Toronto, both close to Ingalill’s heart.

I will always remember Ingalill as full of life, energy and optimism that defined her over the 30 years that i have had the pleasure of knowing her. She was a gentle soul who made a lasting impression on me and most people she met.

My deepest condolences to her extended family for your loss. She was always speaking about her children and grandchildren with much pride. Take comfort in knowing that she is now reunited with her loving husband.

Deepest Regards,

Sandy

It was always a great pleasure to be in Ingalill's company. She was intelligent, witty and caring, and I will fondly remember the conversations we had in connection with activities at the Swedish Church in Toronto. Rest in peace, Ingalill!

So sorry to hear that Ingalill has passed away. We spent many years together as part of SWEA Norr, visiting each others homes and of course our arts & craft group SweDames. Ingalill was an integral part of our creative team resulting in numerous handmade pieces of exceptional quality and inspiration. More memorable and meaningful are all the stories and tidbits of information we shared over the years spending every Monday together working and preparing for our yearly Swedish Christmas Bazaar.
My heartfelt condolences to the family, wishing you peace and comfort at this difficult time. Susanne Litterst
