葉朱依梅於1929年6月19日出生在中國福建福州的一個小村莊，她是最小的孩子，也是唯一的女兒。 她於1946年與葉子桃結婚，育有2個兒子、2個女兒、7個孫子和7個曾孫。 為了更好的家庭生計，丈夫於1957年冒險出外闖，先到香港，1967年定居蒙特利爾。依梅於1976年帶著孩子與丈夫團聚，後於 1980 年全家搬到多倫多。

依梅在一個幹小企業的家庭長大；她深受家人的愛護和照顧，十分聰明。丈夫出外時她就打理一切家務。她擅長做菜；在蒙特利爾期間，她當過廚房助手，後來幫助家人經營餐館。搬到多倫多後，她和丈夫繼續斷斷續續地經營餐館，直到退休。

依梅在蒙特利爾時，丈夫帶她和全家到中國天主教堂，在那裡她認識了基督信仰。搬到多倫多後，她和丈夫參加了華人浸信會懷恩堂，並於1983年4月3日復活節主日與丈夫一同受洗，數年後卻因工作忙碌和生活問題而偏離了信仰，最終她於 2016 年與丈夫重新委身，默默持守真道。

多年前，依梅被診斷出患有骨質疏鬆症以及其他健康問題。 這些年來，她的病情不斷惡化，她每天都服用止痛藥來緩解背痛。今年7月，她在廚房裡摔倒，導致臀部骨折，隨後接受了手術；然而，她的病情並沒有好轉。手術後她被醫院接受長期照顧，最後於2024年8月23日平安地去世，享年95歲。 她現在與主同在，並與丈夫和小兒子在天堂團聚。她永遠被愛護；她的親友也永遠懷念她。

IMei Yip Obituary

I Mei Yip was born in a small village in China, Fujian, Fuzhou on June 19, 1929. She was the youngest child and the only daughter. She married Yip Tse To in 1946 and had 2 sons and 2 daughters, 7 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. For the better livelihood of the family, her husband ventured to Hong Kong in 1957 and later settled in Montreal in 1967. I Mei brought her children to unite with her husband in 1976. The family then moved to Toronto in 1980.

I Mei grew up in the household of a small business owner. She was much loved and cared for by her family. During the absence of her husband, she managed the household. She was intelligent and competent in cooking. While in Montreal, she worked as kitchen helper and later helped her family and brother-in-law run a restaurant. After she moved to Toronto, I Mei and her husband continued on and off the restaurant business for living until retirement.

I Mei began her Christian faith in Montreal where her husband brought the family to the Chinese Catholic Church. After moving to Toronto, she and her husband attended the Chinese Grace Baptist Church and was baptized on April 3, 1983, Easter Sunday. Few years later, she wandered away from her faith and practice due to busyness at work and struggles with life issues. But she recommitted to Christ in 2016 with her husband.

I Mei was diagnosed with osteoporosis along with other health issues many years ago. Her condition deteriorated over the years and she took painkillers daily for her back pain. I Mei suffered a fall in her home in July of this year and broke her hip, which she underwent surgery for. However, her condition did not improve. She was kept in the care of the hospital. On August 23, 2024 she passed away peacefully at the age of 95. She is now with the Lord and reunited with her husband and younger son in heaven. She was loved and will be missed by her living relatives and friends.
