John was my uncle. Brother of my father. He said himself once that he has had a good life. And yet it is as if a whole century, a chapter or even a whole book of the family's history is closing with him.
Dear Uncle John, memory of you will remain with me until the end of my days.

Imants and Valentina were very good friends of my mom and dad, since the 1950's when they all arrived in Canada.

They were both good souls.

I met Imants for the first time when he and Valentina came to visit family in Latvia in 1993.
I always admired his sense of humor and the positive look on life.
