In memory of

Igor Voronov

December 2, 1968 -  March 24, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden and untimely passing of Igor Voronov on March 24, 2024. Igor is survived by his beloved wife of over 30 years, Tatiana Voronova, his son Vlad who lives in Ukraine, his step-daughter Olga and his step-grandchildren Ivan, Anna and Sofia.

Born on December 2, 1968 in Chișinău, Moldova, Igor was raised by his loving mother Dina, aunt Liuba and grandmother Anna. He spent his early years in Chișinău and upon graduating school, went to serve his country in Missile Command. After his time in the military, Igor worked as the aide to the Director of the Institute for Food Sciences where he met his wife in 1992. Igor and Tatiana immigrated to Canada in 2008 with his mother-in-law Evdochia & beloved cat Persik, settling in Mississauga where they enjoyed gardening, frequent trips to Wasaga Beach, and going to Farmer’s Markets.
Igor was passionate about cars, fixing things around the house and fishing. He grew delicious tomatoes and cucumbers in his garden and loved cooking amazing meals for his wife and friends. When on vacation from his job as a tile installer, Igor and Tatiana enjoyed travelling the world together and have been to Bulgaria, Romania, Italy, Ukraine, Crimea, Spain, Bahamas, St. Maarten, Mount Tremblant & Quebec.
Igor will be remembered as a kind and caring handyman who was always willing to offer a helping hand. A caring husband who made fresh, hand-squeezed orange juice for his wife every morning and would throw his step grand-daughter Sofia in the air as she giggled in delight.
Please join the family for celebration of Igor’s life on April 6 and share the hot meal in his memory, as he loved hosting for his family and friends.
