Hyi-Ja (Jennifer) Lee (nee Chu)

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved sister, wife, mother and grandmother on Thursday, January 5, 2017. Jennifer is survived by her husband Johnathan (Sang-Won) and cherished son David (Sara); she will live on in the minds of her other children, Diane (Paul) and Susan (JP), as well as her four grandchildren Jordan, Jamie, Abigail, and Simon. Immigrating to Canada with her family in 1975, she made the most of the opportunity. She was proud to be a Korean-Canadian.

Jennifer was a faithful Seventh-Day Adventist; she was an active member in Elliot Lake for the past 12 years. Prior to that, she attended the Toronto Korean Adventist Church. She enjoyed cooking, entertaining, singing, knitting, sewing, and took great pride in everything she did. Trained professionally as a tailor in Korea, she was an extremely talented sewer.

Friends and family wishing to attend the service are welcome to join us on Thursday, January 19th.

We are extremely sad to hear Mrs. Lee passed away by car accident. For the last ten years, Mr. and Mrs. Lee enthusiastically participated in many events held in Sudbury. We still vividly remember her big smile! We wish to express our sincere condolence to her family. We also wish Mr. Lee get well soon.

Condolences to all who knew her. She sat behind me in church and I loved to hear her operettic voice sing. She had fine style and grace. I loved to hear her tease her husband and he was most proud of her. She complimented others generously and was very humble. Jonathan will miss her greatly and please inform him we also feel his loss.
