In memory of
Hung Luck Eng
Hung Luck Eng passed away peacefully at the age of 86 in Montreal, Quebec. He was born in Toisan, China. He immigrated along with his wife and family to Canada in 1965 after having lived in Hong Kong, the United States, and Trinidad. They first moved to Vancouver, but eventually settled in Montreal.
A hard worker, Hung Luck spent decades working tirelessly as a chef in various Montreal area Chinese restaurants until his retirement. As a young man, he enjoyed photography, listening to music, and playing the flute. During his retirement, Hung Luck liked to spend time traveling to different countries. He is remembered for being a man of few words, leading a quiet and modest life.
Hung Luck was a strong and resilient person, mentally and physically until the end. He expressed his love for his family through actions such as preparing their favorite dishes.
He is survived by his wife Helen, his children Shirley (John), Eddy, Clarence (Cathreen), and his grandchildren Alexandra, Madeleine, Christian, Dylan, Julia, and Miles.
