September 1, 1951 -  June 30, 2021

Hugh Dempsey passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family following a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his devoted wife Julie and his loving children Lorna (Julian) and Daniel (Brittany). Papa will be greatly missed by Kenna and Emmalyn. He is predeceased by his parents, Hugh and Isabella, and his sister, May. He is loved and remembered by his siblings (Isobel, Ian, and Ronnie); his brothers and sisters-in-law (Keith (Kathleen) & Anne (Tom)); his nieces and nephews; as well as his many friends and co-workers.

Hugh touched so many lives and the family appreciates everyone wanting to pay their respects. Due to current restrictions, a small service for the family will be held on Thursday, July 8 at 11:00 a.m. at the Simple Alternative Funeral Centre in Pickering. There will be an open visitation at 10:00 a.m. before the commencement of the memorial.
