It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved daughter, sister, aunt and friend, Hortense Smith. She fought a valiant battle with cancer but lost the fight on Thursday May 4, 2017. She passed away peacefully at home, and has now graduated to her heavenly home. Hortense leaves behind her father, Charles Smith, siblings Lloyd, Everett, Lorna, Grace and Karen, nephews Dean, Tony, Andrew, Michelle, Mark, Marie, Shane, Alex, Stephanie, Lloyd and Kadianna, uncles, aunts, cousins and countless friends. May she rest in Eternal Peace.

In All things, we give thanks and Praises to God. We thank God for granting us that great opportunity to meet and had an awesome relationship with a blessed woman of God, Hortense Smith. Hortense was a woman who would bring calmness into a space even when the storms are raging. We observed the relationship and mannerism that Hortense displayed at home, at work and in the public, all we saw during those times were inner and outward beauty. Hortense fulfilled the order that God destined for her life. We join with family and friends in mourning the loss of such a precious soul, however, we rejoice with the knowledge that she is now at a better place. No longer suffering, but resting in the arms of God. Hortense is awaiting her judgement and the reunion with loved ones where we will spend eternity in God's presence. Rejoice again, I say rejoice.
