In memory of

Homa Farhadian

January 15, 1938 -  February 28, 2023

Homa Farhadian, 85, passed away during the early hours of February 28, 2023 at North York General Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born in Masjedsoleiman, Khouzestan, Iran, to Goli Alipour and Akbar Farhadian. She was loved deeply by her husband Amir Hossain Birganinia, and her children, Ezat, Esmat, Zinat, Aghanes, Mehrdad, Mitra, and Shahab. She will be forever missed by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and siblings. Her passing has also been deeply felt by her extended family and those through marriage.

All who knew Homa, were touched by her caring and generous spirit. She showed immeasurable love to all through her cooking and much of her time was spent in the garden. Her home was a welcoming place to all, and she was quick to volunteer her time and resources to helping care and raise her grandchildren both in Canada and Iran. She will always be loved and remembered for the beautiful memories that she has left behind and will be very greatly missed by family and friends.

She is now reunited with the love of her life, Amir Hossain, her son, Mehran, her parents Akbar and Goli, and her sister Zivar. Until we meet again.

The cemetery grounds during this season are unpredictable, so please bring proper footwear and umbrellas if rain is in the forecast.

Thank you!

It is very sad and heartbreaking to lose my dear aunt. She was a wonderful and kind person and will be greatly missed.

I have many happy memories from her and my Uncle in my early years.

My aunt was most caring and loving, always welcoming and always happy.

She was the most wonderful cook and probably the greatest gardener I ever met, with most colourful flowers and vibrant herbs.

She was loved by everyone and will be greatly missed.

Rest in peace my wonderful aunt.
