In memory of

Holly Doreen Dexter

November 26, 1962 -  January 2, 2022

After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Holly spread her beautiful wings and flew away to heaven with great strength on Sunday, January 2nd, 2022, at the age of 59. She has found much peace in rejoining her beloved son Richard and parents (Les and Doreen Dexter) among many other angels who were eagerly waiting for her return above.

Holly was proud to represent her lifetime being a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a cherished mother to Thomas (Ashley), Joanne (Brad), Richard and Pauline (Adam), loving grandmother of Gabrielle, William and Alec, adored sister of Melanie (Vince), caring aunt of Colleen and a treasured friend of her ex-husband Sheldon (Sally).

The simplest pleasures brought great joy to Holly. She adored being surrounded by company and was blessed to have so many love-filled visits and laughs in her final days. She enjoyed spending time talking, watching game shows, listening to music and, above all, a great meal. She always led with love and had an uncanny ability to find positivity and happiness in every aspect of life. Her pleasant and humorous personality was contagious to everyone she met and will continue to live on through the wonderful memories we all share of her. She will be lovingly remembered forever and always.

Following Holly’s wishes, a memorial service will be held at York Cemetery and Funeral Center on Wednesday, January 12th, 2022. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

I only spent brief time being able to get to know her but the stories I’ve heard, the times I’ve met her make me wish I had opportunity to get to know her more. She’s at peace and that’s what is most important

Holly demonstrated so much strength and positivity and shared her kindness with everyone she met. She thought of everyone else before herself even with her illness. A rare gem of strength. Hugs to you all as she will be missed.

God rest Holly's soul in eternal peace with God, rejoining her loved ones that pre-deceased her time on earth.
Peace and serenity have now replaced the pain she suffered with cancer, be it far too soon.
Linda and I will cherish the conversations that we shared with you Holly. 🙏🙏
