Peacefully on January 26, 2018, at Sunnybrook Palliative Care, in her 94th year. Caregiver, horticulturist, artist, chef extraordinaire, she devoted her life to the welfare of others. Beloved wife for over 70 years of Endel Luik, dearly loved mother of Christina, Arne (Lois) and Epp (Toomas), adored grandmother of Ivo, Joseph, Pia, John and Thomas, and also greatly mourned by many relatives in Estonia and Sweden. Many thanks to the nursing team at Sunnybrook for their tremendous support and care.
Funeral services will be held at Mount Pleasant Funeral Centre, 375 Mount Pleasant Road, on February 3, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. If desired, donations may be made in Hilja’s honour to Sunnybrook Palliative Care or a charity of your choice.

For me Mrs Luik will always remain the gracious lady with the quick smile and the mischievous twinkle in her eyes. I confess that of all my friends' mothers, Mrs Luik has always been my favourite. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad time.
