Mary and I did not have an opportunity to meet Mr. Herng Chen before he suffered the illness which confined him to a Nursing Home. Having read about him, we wish we had had the opportunity to meet him and perhaps to have become friends. He liked and enjoyed many of the things we like too.

From visiting his home after his illness to see Letty, we could tell he was an excellent gardener and an admirer of art and music.

We are sorry such an admirable man suffered such a long illness and send our sympathy to Letty, their daughters and their families and to his wider family.
