In memory of

Hernan Castro

June 12, 1955 -  May 7, 2021

In Loving Memory of Hernan Alberto Castro Castillo: loving husband of Rosa Eliana, cherished father of Stephanie Bertuzzo and Melanie Castro and the beloved son "he never had" Philippe Bertuzzo. Adored grandfather of Delphine and Olivier Bertuzzo, and leader of his loyal mascots and "mini-pals", family pets Archie and Baxter. He died peacefully with his family at his side. His legacy lives through all of them and will continue to be honoured forevermore. We would like to thank the nurses and medical teams at Lakeridge Health at both the Ajax & Oshawa facilities, and send an especially heartfelt thanks to Dr. Shannon Fernando for not only the world-class medical care he provided, but for his extraordinary humanity, compassion and kindness towards us as a family.

Hernan, you've lived a legacy for others to admire and follow. We prayed for you to fully recovered in hope that the team can continue doing lunches and drinks.
You will missed and will never be forgotten.

So very sad for all who knew Hernan, he was the most upbeat person I ever met, He was always happy and his amazing outgoing personality and goodwill spread amongst the people who knew him, not easy to find people who effect other people in such a happy, friendly, positive way but in that regard Hernan was head and shoulders above everyone else. You will be greatly missed.RIP “Uncle” Gerry

Dear Stephanie and family - It is with sadness I hear of Hernan's untimely passing. My deepest condolences.

As an RBC work colleague, we worked together on a few projects; he was always the source of laughter. I will remember Hernan as a jovial person and passionate of his culture and family.

May his memory live on. He will be surely missed by all.
