Herbert Rolando Villatoro passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at Brampton Civic Hospital on February 28th, 2023, aged 65 years. Herbert was born to José Rolando Villatoro and Sara Alicia Girón on April 30th, 1957, in Santa Ana, El Salvador. He received his Bachelor of Engineering and moved to the United States where he met Rosa Margarita Villatoro (née Ayala). The pair married, and moved to Canada where he continued working as a professional engineer. Later, he founded his translation business to help newcomers to Canada have a seamless transition. Herbert is succeeded by his son, Daniel Rolando Villatoro, and his daughter, Tiffany Emilia Villatoro. For years, you could find Herbert at the tennis court at least once every week, no matter the season. He enjoyed trying new foods, whether that be experimenting with new dishes and techniques in the kitchen, or going to a local restaurant to try a cuisine that he had never encountered before. This also permeated into his interest in travelling to different regions of the globe, as his curiosity about the world and wanting to be a lifelong learner was integral to his character. The impact he had on his communities, family, and friends, will be remembered.
