Herbert James Rogers

December 19, 1939 - September 17, 2022

With sad and broken hearts, we announce the loss of Herbert James Rogers. Born December 19th, 1939, in Grand Bank Newfoundland. He passed away September 17th at Pickering Ajax Hospital in his eighty third year of life.

Herb was a beloved Husband of Judy Rogers, and a father to Jim Rogers and Jennifer Walton. He was also an adored Papa to his granddaughters Natasha and Lynn Walton-Kaczynski.

Brother to Jane Panis and Max Rogers (deceased), Herb was a friend to many, as he was known for his sense of humor and easy-going personality, he built lifelong friendships that lasted even to this day. He was known as Uncer to the rest of the family who loved him dearly and will be missed by all. He was the epitome the words “family man” as family always was in his heart.

Herb Rogers was a long time employee of Shorewood Packaging, and also left his mark in the hearts and minds of his team members and employees.

Herb was a special person. He was kind, caring and loved his family fiercely. I have very many happy memories of Herb. While on vacation in Curacao he was the life of the party, even though his lips were burnt to a crisp. Pool parties and special get togethers were always fun If Herb was there. His dry sense of humour and one liners had everyone laughing. I will truly miss you Herb, you were a wonderful companion and husband to my long time friend Judy. May you rest in peace.
