In memory of

Herbert Drasnin

June 30, 1938 - October 19, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Herbert at his home on Sunday October 19 at the age of 87. Beloved companion and husband to Barb for the past 66 years.

Loving father to Dirk (Mona), Frank (Cathy) and the late Andy (Yvonne). Cherished Opi to grandsons Dean (Nicole) and Dale (Zoe). Lifelong friend to many others, and loving caregiver to many pets and wild animals who had the good fortune of crossing his path.

Herb was born in Germany in 1938 and moved to Canada in 1958 where he became a proud Canadian and enjoyed a long and successful career as an IBEW Electrician. In his early years he was an avid golfer and cyclist; Founder of Drasnin and Son's Cycle and Sports. He was a lifelong investor; huge sports fan and always enjoyed a friendly game of cards or reading a good book. He was a dedicated family man who loved nothing more than spending time with his loved ones, enjoying a feast and a good conversation.

He will be dearly missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Private gathering for the family of Herbert will be held.
