It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Henry Chow who passed on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 in his 98th year with his loving family by his side following a courageous battle with cancer.
Predeceased by his parents, Chui Po and Ngau Oi and brothers, Yuen Won and William Yuen Poi. Loving and devoted husband to Linda of 75 years. Beloved father to May Chan (Tim), May Seto (Paul), Goldie (Chris) and son, Wing.
Cherished Grandfather to Rick (Hue), Raymen (Phuong), Stephen (Rita), Angela (Mike), Brian, Katarina (Ryan), and Corey. He was blessed with great grandchildren, Hope, Grace, Taio, Tobi, “Baby” Seto, Nina, and Benjamin.
Greatly missed by sisters, Yung Heung, Yung Tsui, Yung Sheung and Yung Lan; nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Henry immigrated to Canada from China in 1949. He was an accomplished restaurant business owner in Nova Scotia. He devoted his life to his family, working tirelessly to support his family and extended family. He cherished his time with his family and friends. His work ethic and dedication became the foundation for many around him to strive to achieve. He was and will always be forever loved and missed.
Dad was our family matriarch. His passing has left a huge ache in our hearts. Goodbye our beloved. Safe journey home. Rest in Peace, Baa Baa, Gung Gung, Bak Gung.
The family is eternally grateful to the Palliative Care team who participated in his care with special thanks to Dr. Imad El Sadek, Dr. Copeland, Stephanie, Phil, Anthony and Ros.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, November 26th at 1000 AM by invitation only at Pine Hills Cemetery and Funeral Centre in Toronto. Cremation to follow.
In memory of Henry and in lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family. Online donations, condolences and tributes are available at the Pine Hills Cemetery and Funeral Centre website.
