In memory of

Dr. Henry Wu

June 4, 1948 -  March 22, 2019

After a courageous journey with cancer, it is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Henry on Friday, March 22, 2019 at age 70. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Helen, and son, Justin; lovingly remembered by his mother, sister, brothers, nephews, nieces, extended family members, friends, and patients.

Please join Henry’s family at YORK CEMETERY & FUNERAL CENTRE, 160 Beecroft, Toronto (west of Yonge Street and north of Sheppard Ave West) for a celebration of his life on Saturday, April 20th, 2019. Visitation from 1-2 p.m. and Funeral Service at 2 p.m. followed by light refreshments.

In lieu of flowers, it is Henry’s wish to raise funds for the Odette Cancer Centre, Sunnybrook Hospital and Living Water Counseling Centre.

Henry, Helen, and Justin very much appreciate the superb care and professionalism from Odette and would like to support its oncology service, clinical research, and education initiatives.

Henry was one of the founders of the Living Water Counselling Center and would like his legacy to continue in providing holistic care to families and individuals through Counselling/Psychotherapy, Spiritual Formation, Education, and Training.

Never have I met a man so humble. A light has gone out in the world, but shines on where he is. He is so greatly missed and my heart goes out to Helen, Justin amd extended family. May God keep you in the comfort of his arms.

I had the pleasure of working with Henry in his capacity as an assessor for the CPSO for many years. His professionalism, dedication to quality medical care, warm generous nature and commitment to the work of the CPSO were all attributes greatly appreciated by all who had the privilege to work with him. I could always count on Henry for a thoughtful and caring response to an issue. Please know how much we valued and acknowledged his contribution to medical regulation in Ontario and that he will be missed. My prayers are with you at this time.

Dear Helen,

How fondly we remember our time with you and Henry at Bayview Glen. Our paths have definitely had too much space between them for these many years, but our memories are full of pure joy when we remember you two.

We grieve with you over the passing of dear Henry, but are grateful that he is now free from pain and suffering, and that he is worshiping in the presence of Jesus.

Our love to you and your sweet family.

(Might we see you on August 17, at the Bayview Glen Reunion at Joe & Carol Ottenhoff's?)
