Henry Ping Yin Che, age 81, of Markham, passed away on December 3, 2023 as a devoted husband, and father.

Baba was born in China and spent part of his early years in Vietnam with his family. After returning to China where he studied, he ventured to Hong Kong solo where he met our mom and got married in 1974. They had two sons, Terry Che in 1975, and David Che in 1977.

They had planned to establish a life in Canada. They immigrated to Toronto in the summer of 1985 to join our aunt's family.

Whether it was coffee shop, operating fast food restaurants or real estate, he always had the support of the family.

He is survived by his wife, Lily Yuk Sim Che, sons Terry and David and three loving grandchildren, Evelyn, Travis and Chloe.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Elgin Mills Funeral Centre, 1591 Elgin Mills Rd E on Saturday December 16, 2023 with visitation from 9am - 10am, followed by a memorial service from 10am - 10:45am and then burial service at 11:30am.

Following the service, we would like for you to join us for lunch at 豪苑 Orient Bistro, 10 Vogell Rd, Richmond Hill. Please RSVP with the family directly.
