In memory of

Helmuth Weiss

January 29, 1939 -  June 30, 2024

Helmuth “Bill” Weiss

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Helmuth.
On June 30th, 2024, at home with family by his side, Bill passed peacefully in his sleep.

The loving husband of Shirely Wionzek, Devoted father to Tammy and Michael (Danielle). Adored Opa to Nathan, Alivia and Hailey. Dearest brother to Inge Fehrle and the late Ruth.
Predeceased by his parents Helmut and Wilhelmina and his in-laws Mike and Pauline Wionzek. Best Uncle to lots of nieces and nephews.
In 1956 Bill immigrated to Canada with his mother and sister from Gronau, Germany.
For 45 years, Bill worked for Sears Canada and Quebecor. In his spare time you would find him on the fairway playing a round of golf, casting a line at his favorite fishing spot, or watching his favorite soccer teams. He got the unofficial job title of ‘Professional Handyman” as he always was helping around the house, helping family and friends fixing what needed to be fixed. If you could narrow down three of his favorite sayings it would be;

- “Do it right or don’t do it at all.”
- “Finish what you start.”
-“Measure twice and cut once.”

He will be greatly missed by many family and friends within Canada and Deutschland.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday July 7th, 2024 at The simple alternative Mississauga (address) guests are invited to join with visitation beginning at 10am followed by a memorial service. In lieu of flowers, the family asked for donations to be made to the Princess Margaret Hospital foundation in Bill’s Memory.

Germany has lost a huge football fan!

He was a great person, a truly wonderful man.

He will always be in our hearts.

Dear Helli.

You were the Best Brother anyone could ever have in this World. Memories we have can never be taken away. Although we did not have much, we had each other and that was something Special. I could write a book about us being kids but all I have to do is look at pictures and it puts a huge smile on my face.

I LOVE YOU and you are always on my mind.

Your "little" sister Inge xox
