In memory of

馮李碧琳 Helen Pik Lam Fung

October 29, 1945 -  October 29, 2023

On the morning of October 29, 2023, Helen Pik-Lam Fung (née Lee) passed away peacefully at her home in Waterdown, ON. She was 78 years old.

Helen was born in Guangdong, China to Po-Suen Lee and Yin-Kwan Ting. In August 1972, she married Albert Fung and moved from Hong Kong to Canada, and had two sons. In later years, her three siblings and mother also immigrated to the Greater Toronto area.

She worked in various positions for more than 25 years at the head office of Nissan Canada including Marketing Operations Coordinator.

Helen was a devoted and faithful member of Hamilton Chinese Alliance Church since 1982, serving as a Sunday School teacher, on the children's worship team, and as head offering teller. She loved music and her soaring soprano voice was heard on many Sundays as part of the church choir and on special occasions.

In addition to being a loving grandmother, baking was one of Helen’s hobbies, and her pistachio biscotti was particularly well-loved. She also learned to crochet and created innumerable hats, scarves and teapot covers for her family and friends.

Helen is survived by her husband, Albert, and her two children, Eric (Sarah) and Adrian (Anita), her grandchildren Gabriel and Gemma, sisters Viola and Flora (Ben), and brother Norman (Eileen), and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that in-memory donations be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada (a link is in the Donations tab above). Helen had a congenital heart condition, but survived decades beyond doctors' expectations.
