In memory of

Heinz H. Melzer

Surrounded by the love of his family, Heinz died unexpectedly, yet peacefully on October 15th, 2021 at the Dorothy Ley Hospice. He will be fondly remembered by his wife Dominique, his daughter Nathalie (Peter) and his infant grandson Matteo.

Heinz was born in Germany and kept close ties with his sister Rita (Peter), his niece Kerstin and her family. When he was 22 years old he moved to Paris and met his future wife. While there, he met his best friend Frank who convinced him to eventually move, in 1972, to greener pastures and the wild North, Canada.
When in Canada, Heinz found success as a Real Estate Broker and fostered many friendships along the way.

Throughout his lifetime, Heinz enjoyed travelling and nature. Later in life he developed a passion for hiking, especially along the Bruce Trail with his ever faithful group and family.
Heinz will always be remembered for his quick wit, his sharp sense of humour and his deep sense of integrity. He enjoyed the simple things in life, whether it be eating a baguette with cheese and wine or sitting on his deck watching wildlife. He made a huge impact to those he knew and leaves a void. Guten Abend, gute Nacht, jetzt bist du in Ruhe.

Memorial Service will be held at the Simple Alternative Funeral Centre: 1535 South Gateway Road Mississauga, Monday October 25th from 6-7pm. For those wanting to make a contribution we kindly ask, upon Heinz's wish, to make a donation to the Bruce Trail Conservancy.

Heinz will be greatly missed. I had the privilege of knowing him for over 20 years from C21 Kingsbury, to RLP Kingsbury and forward to RLP Signature. He was always wonderful to speak to and a kind soul.

Oh Heinz!💔

I had no idea that you were not well. This is shocking and terrible news.

I will always remember your smile, sense of humour, your wonderful accent, and your willingness to give a rookie like me a chance. You were one of the first agents to welcome me as a newbie almost 15 years ago. Thank you for your kindness, your business tips along the way, and for always making time to come over and say hello when in the office. You were always in good spirits and you will be missed!
