ULLIUS, Heidele L
November 9, 1930 – October 10, 2025
It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Heide Ullius (nee Boeseke), at Hillsdale Estates on October 10, 2025. She was in her 95th year.
Beloved wife of Reiner Ullius (d. 1989). Dear mother of Thomas Ullius (Lori), Peter Ullius, Maureen Van Schepen (Andrew), Michael Ullius, Reiner Ullius (Amanda), and Heike Trafford (Greg). Cherished Oma to Chelsea (Sean), Jessica (Steven), Adam (Elizabeth), Jennine (John), Livia (Jeff), Hayden and Taylor. Great Oma of Kayla, Gavin, Keaton, Heidi and Sullivan. Heide will also be missed by her many friends.
Those who knew Heide will forever remember her for her love of family, great sense of humour and her fighting and determined spirit.
Heide and her husband Reiner immigrated from Germany to Montreal in 1956. They initially lived in Weston Toronto settling into their Oshawa home in 1969. Prior to children Heide enjoyed a career in the financial offices of Sears Canada.
Heide was the proud mother of 6 children and was devoted to providing a loving home. She was an esteemed cook; rouladen and potatoes pancakes being some of her family’s favorites. Heide welcomed her blessings of 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was a much loved Oma. Her Christmas treats of marzipan and mini chocolate balls were enjoyed by all.
Heide volunteered at the Oshawa Seniors’ Foot Care Clinic for many years. She enjoyed this time, making new acquaintances and friends.
Making others feel special and loved is what Heide did best. Upon her move to Hillsdale Estates it was her personal goal to remember the names of staff and residents and to spread her love. She became an integral resident on Willow Way and her caring presence will be greatly missed.
The family wish to extend their gratitude for the loving care provided by the staff of Hillsdale Estates. It will never be forgotten.
Heide’s words to all, will be remembered forevermore, “I love you!”
A Private Celebration of Heide’s life will be held at THORNTON CEMETERY & FUNERAL CENTRE, 905-579-6787
In lieu of flowers memorial donations will be accepted to Sunnybrook Hospital or Heart and Stroke.
