It is with profound sadness that the family of Hedy Aksiuczyc announce the peaceful passing of their beloved mother on October 2, 2021 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa.

She leaves behind her three children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Hedy was born in Poland and came to Canada, eventually to settle in Oshawa with her husband (predeceased) and young family to build their lives. She did so with resilience and strength, working both inside and outside the home to build a good life, while making many life long friends within the early Polish community in Oshawa.

She will be forever missed for all she did…her holiday meals remain unequaled! Thanks mom….all our love!

Among her many good qualities and help she has provided over the years...she also cooked the best meals I ever ate at various holidays and special occaisions! She will be greatly missed by me.

Aunt Jadwiga will be greatly missed. She was my pen pal aunt and we exchanged many ...many letters and cards thru the years .
We both enjoyed writing and receiving them .
After many years living in Canada she could still write and speak fluently in polish .
She was the one that we all admired for her being always nicely dressed and with full makeup and her hair all beautifully done ..
May she rest in peace.
