VAN DALEN, Heather Jane Charlotte (nee Harcourt)
May 13, 1945 – January 24, 2022.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother Heather on Monday, January 24, 2022 at Sunnybrook Hospital at the age of 76.

Heather was born and raised in Toronto, the daughter of the late Harry Allen Harcourt and Jean Charlotte Harcourt (Trethewey). Loving mother to Peter Allen (Callie) and Joanne Charlotte (Michael), predeceased by husband John. Loving grandmother to Millicent & Ashton, and Charlotte. Also grandmother to the late Kieran. Heather leaves behind her sister, Janet Elaine Shortly.

Heather was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother whose wonderful example of generosity and joie de vivre will always be remembered, especially with her participation in the Junior League and various other groups. She enriched the lives of all who met her.

Visitation and funeral services will be held at Mount Pleasant Funeral Centre on Friday, January 28, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., by RSVP only to heathervandalenmemorial@outlook.com. A private family service will take place in the Chapel on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 1:00pm, followed by Interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
