In memory of

Heather Anne Johnson

May 19, 1956 -  October 1, 2019

Born May 19, 1956 Formerly of Owen Sound Ontario With sadness we announce that Heather passed away peacefully in Toronto , October 1, 2019, following a brief battle with cancer.
Predeceased by her parents John E. Johnson (2014) and Daphne M. Johnson (née Martin) (2008).
Survived by brothers Elis Johnson and Ross Johnson.
Heather was born in Owen Sound Ontario. Growing up there she came to love and respect the wonders of Mother Earth. Eventually she made her home in Toronto and has been an employee of the city since 1986. She never lost her passion for the great outdoors and was truly in her element when on the water with a fishing rod in hand.
Although Heather has left this life her spirit will always be with us.
She is the breeze that rustles the trees She is the fierce wind that bends them She is the the bubble that rises and floats along a quiet stream She is the wave that crashes and flys up into a million droplets She is the leaf that tosses turbulently about Then flutters down gently to land before us She will forever remain in the memory of those who had opportunity to know and love her Heather will be laid to rest in a private family service at Greenwood Cemetery, Owen Sound Ontario.
Heather has asked that in lieu of flowers a donation be made to Gilda's Club camp renewal program.

I spoke to Heather many times and finally had a great lunch with her last June, 2019 when I was in Toronto....her obituary really captures her uniqueness.
She was also a very brave soul.

We are sorry for your loss!
My dear Heather - may you rest in your sleep while you are safe in God's memory. How we look forward to the day when we can meet again in a paradise on earth. Truly appreciated your love of God's word and your desire to know God and be known by him. So glad that I was able to hear your voice one last time as we talked about the lighter side of life and the things that made us laugh.
Love your cuz - Rita
