Peacefully at Centennial Park Place in Etobicoke on May 31, 2017, at the age of 68, Heather, beloved daughter of the late Nell (nee Thachuk) and James Duguid. Dear sister of Cathy and her husband Paul Greville. Loving and devoted Aunt of Jennifer and husband Jeremy, Lucas and Great-Aunt of Brock and Cooper. Heather will be remembered for her love of her family and the joy she had in their accomplishments. The family extends sincere gratitude to the staff of Centennial Park Place for their amazing care and compassion, as well as the employees of Longo's and Paragon Security at Maple Leaf Square for their years of friendship and support. Heather was devoted to the Toronto Maple Leafs and appreciated the friendships and kindness of the staff of Maple Leaf Gardens and the Air Canada Centre over the past 49 years. Family and friends will be received at Pine Hills Cemetery & Funeral Centre, 625 Birchmount Rd. (north of St. Clair Ave. East, 416-267-8229), from 5:30-8 p.m on Sunday, June 4, 2017. A service to commemorate Heather's life will be held in the Pine Hills Chapel on Monday, June 5, 2017 at 11 a.m., following a visitation from 10 a.m. Interment at Pine Hills Cemetery with a reception to follow at Pine Hills Funeral Centre.
