On Monday, October 28, 2019. Mama as she is affectionately called, passed away peacefully at Michael Garron Hospital Palliative Care Unit, Toronto, Ontario, with her daughter Patricia Tomlinson by her side. She was born in Kingston, Jamaica November 9, 1930. Beloved mother of daughters Marcia, Patricia (Pat), and previously deceased son Ludlow; loving grandma to 13 grandchildren (Dahlia, Nichola, Astley Jr, Kevin, Amoy, Troy, Julia, Dwayne, Quanne, Allana, Ricardo, Hailey & Kayla), 21 great grands and 5 great great grands. Mama is lovingly remembered by her brother Barrington (Barry) Smith, the last of 4 siblings from her parents Leslie and Violet Smith. A special thank you is extended to the staff at Michael Garron Hospital for their care and support during Mama’s 3 months stay with them. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 8th, from 5 PM to 9 PM, and November 9th 10 AM- 11 AM, at Pine Hills Funeral Centre, 625 Birchmount Road, Scarborough, Ontario. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 9th, at 11 AM at Pine Hills Funeral Centre, 625 Birchmount Road, Scarborough, Ontario. Reception to follow.
