It is with profound grief that we share the passing of Hayden Laine Sanderson at the Hospital for Sick Children. She was held by her mother Heather Motrick and father Paul Sanderson as she passed peacefully on July 23rd, 2025. Beloved sister of Tom Adderley (Ashley) and Jenna (Karl) Demel. Cherished Granddaughter of Maxine and the late Alan Sanderson, Gary Motrick and the late Laine Hadden. Beloved niece of Jayne Sanderson and John Deleeuw and loving cousin of Sarah Deleeuw. She will be deeply missed by her aunts, uncles and many cousins in Canada and the United Kingdom. Hayden was the kind of person who made the world brighter just by being in it. She put others before herself, not out of obligation, but because that is simply who she was. Hayden’s love for animals was truly something special, as her cats Kandsome, Karma and her angel Missy experienced every day. Her love, heart and strength will live on in all who knew and loved her. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the caring and compassionate staff at the Hospital for Sick Children. A special thank you to the oncology, PACT, and day hospital teams, as well as Dr Nathan and his team, and the nurses on 8A. They would also like to thank Kristy and Lynn at Centenary Hospital. Friends may call at THORNTON CEMETERY & FUNERAL CENTRE, 1200 Thornton Road North, Oshawa, (South of Taunton Road and off of Dryden Blvd, 905-579-6787) on Sunday, August 10, 2025 for visitation from 11 am until time of Chapel service at 1 pm.
