Hassan Marandi

May 12, 1942 - May 25, 2024

Hassan Marandi was born in Shirvan, Khorasan, Iran on 12 May 1942. He was the oldest of the six siblings. He completed his education in Mashhad in the field of Mathematics and started working in Mashhad’s Ministry of Justice. He served as a District Attorney in the last 13 years of his 23 years of service. He enjoyed his work and was well known by people of Mashhad as a kind, generous, honest individual who loved to serve the people and his community.

He emigrated to England in 1986 with his wife and two children and settled in London where he worked for the next 8 years. In 1994 along with the family he moved to Toronto where he made his home and remained until his passing.

He is survived by his wife Azar, Daughter Yass, Son Farhad, Sister Actar, son-in-law Hooman, daughter-in-law Samineh, grandchildren (Nilie, Sohrob, Faryn, Soren) and many extended family members. Hassan passed away on 25 May 2024 while surrounded by his family.
