In memory of

Harvey Ram

September 17, 1950 -  July 23, 2020

Son of Louis and Sylvia Ram of Montreal, Quebec, Harvey moved to Toronto after completing a his post-graduate education at McGill Law.

After having been called to the Bar in the Province of Ontario, he settled himself in the Village of Weston and started practicing law with a partner. After some years he continued on his own in the area.

He was a bachelor for most of his life but did commit himself to a single partner whom he married some 20 years later. Benita was not only his wife, but she was also his professional wife as his clerk and life partner … she was his rock that rolled along with him and kept him grounded.

William, though not his natural son, is in every and all aspects of the meaning “his son”.

Harvey, Benita and William shared an unique life filled with the simplicities and complications of society. Together, they met the challenges to form a truly “traditional family”.

He will be sadly missed by them, as well as his sisters, Laura, Eleanor and Mryna and his brother, William, their spouses and their children.

He will also be missed by all the friends and professional peers he has nurtured on his path through life like a snowball rolling down a hill.

May he rest in peace. May we never forget the laughter we shared with him.

Our sympathies to Benita and William. Harvey was a wonderful addition to the family. We always had lively after dinner discussions and we will miss these debates with him.
