Harold Cornelius Nicholson (Connie)
Sadly, Connie passed away at Glace Bay Hospital on Feb 07, 2022.
He was born May 16, 1937 in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia. Predeceased by parents Margaret Leona Nicholson (nee LeClair) and Harold Joseph Nicholson. Predeceased by his wife Eileen Ann Nicholson (nee Doyle) and sister Lorna Casey. Survived by sister Carol Anne Porter (who resides in Ontario) and sister-in-law Kathleen Davey (who resides in Quebec) Always there to support his children Linda, Deborah (Joseph), Mark, predeceased by son Peter, Michael (Shelley), Bernadette, Paul and Andrew. He had 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. In the mid 1950’s, Connie moved to Toronto where he met and married Eileen. They raised their family in Scarborough before retiring to Cape Breton in 1998. To say he loved to golf, would be an understatement. He won many tournaments throughout his lifetime and when he retired, you could find him at his favourite golf course in Glace Bay constantly working on his swing and offering a few pointers to others. He was an active member of St. Mary’s Parish in East Bay, Nova Scotia. A special thank you to the doctors and nurses at Glace Bay Hospital for their care. Connie will be dearly missed by family and friends.
