Harold Haruo Heike

March 18, 1925 -  June 5, 2020

Harold Haruo Heike passed away on Friday June 5th, 2020 in the Palliative Care Unit at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. He was able to live with his daughter and her family until 13 days before he passed away at the age of 95. He was fortunate to have lived over 2 years with lymphoma.

He leaves behind his daughter Cathy, his son-in-law Terry, his granddaughter Clarissa and his four-legged friend Mocha. He is predeceased by his wife, Mary.

He will be missed by his brothers Makio, Tom, and sister Judy. He leaves behind his sister-in-laws Helen, Isabelle, and Louise and his many nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his father Muneharu, his mother Tsuta, his brothers Roy (Ike), Lloyd, John, Norm, and his sister’s late husband (Peter).

Harold will be missed by his brother-in-law George (Esther), his sister-in-law Joy and predeceased husband (Fred), his predeceased brother-in-law Stan survived by wife (Marj), as well as their extended families.

Harold was cycling and downhill skiing into his 80’s and a very avid sports fan.

Due to COVID, there will be a virtual visitation on the Mount Pleasant Funeral Centre’s website on Tuesday June 9th, at 10:50 am with Service at 11:00 am. Unfortunately, interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery will not be held virtually.
