Lawrence Hak Wa Chan peacefully passed away on June 7, 2024, at Markham Stouffville Hospital at the age of 74. Born on July 10, 1949, to Cheuk Fai Chan and Lai Shin Chau, he spent his formative years in Hong Kong, where he received his education at St Stephen's College and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University before embarking on a fulfilling career in Electrical Engineering.

Known for his vibrant personality and proactive spirit, Lawrence made a lasting impression on his family, friends, and colleagues.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Mary, his cherished children, Priscilla and John, and his beloved grandchildren, Candace and Ayson. Lawrence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A funeral service to honor Lawrence's life will be held on June 23, 2024, at Elgin Mills Cemetery, Cremation & Funeral Centres. In lieu of flowers, contributions and specific arrangements can be made directly to the family.
