March 13, 1944 -  July 5, 2023

Wendy Ness went home to be with her Lord on July 5, 2023 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa surrounded by her loving family. Wendy lived a fulfilling life as a mother, wife, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She will be greatly missed for her smile and compassionate spirit.

Beloved wife of Wayne Ness of 58 years and cherished mother of Debbie (Peter) and Dyana. Devoted grandmother of Jordan (Paulina), Katie, and Nick (Klaudia) and great grandmother of Mya and Luka. Survived by her sister Sharon Schlosser and nephew Keith and nieces Laura and Kelly. Predeceased by her parents Ted and Georgie Charlton and brother Ken Charlton.

Wendy grew up in the Seattle, WA area where she met and married Wayne Ness before they relocated to British Columbia Canada. While in Vancouver, Wendy and Wayne had their two daughters before relocating again to Ontario, Canada where they raised their family.

Wendy retired from the Ontario Government 23 years ago after which she devoted endless time to her grandchildren and the rest of her family. Wendy’s strong faith in the Lord throughout her life helped her through her recent health struggles where she has now found her eternal peace.

A Celebration of Life for Wendy will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at 11:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Canadian Cancer Society, Parkinson Canada or Heart & Stroke Foundation.

Debbie and family,
I am saddened and shocked to hear of the sudden passing of your beloved mother. You were strong and at her side through all her health struggles and she loved you for that. Take comfort in knowing that you did the absolute best for your mother and take solace in knowing that your mother is now at peace. Let all your heartfelt memories help lighten the days ahead. May your mother rest in peace.
