In memory of

Gus Rogiokos

June 17, 1936 -  February 8, 2022

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Gus Rogiokos, on Tuesday, February 8th 2022 at Trillium Mississauga Hospital.

Gus is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years Maria and by his loving children Dimitria and Jim. Doting Grandfather to Andreas and Dylan. Beloved brother of John and Georgia. He is predeceased by his parents Dimitri and Dimitria as well as by his brother Nick.

Gus was a hardworking postal worker for 23 years with Canada post before his retirement. His kindness and devotion to his family was second to none. In his later years he enjoyed watching the games of his beloved Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Raptors.

Above anything else, Gus lived a life true to his faith as a Jehovah ’s Witness. He will be deeply missed by his congregation as well as by his many friends and family both in Canada and in Greece.

Due to gathering restrictions related to the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic, the family will gather in private to say their final goodbyes.

A graveside funeral service will take place at the Meadowvale Cemetery and Crematorium on Monday, February 14, 2022 at 2:30 PM.

I will dearly miss my father, he was always a person to give advice and guidance that sometimes we did not want to hear. The thing is that advice has not gone unheard ,it may have been delayed but it will be followed. My father gave advice because he cared about his family and friends. I hope to be as good a father as you were dad. Your guiding light will always be on, I makes this promise to you , I love you.

Theo Kotsi was an integral part of our lives. He always had a smile for everyone and would offer words of advice and wisdom. He was always upbeat and optimistic.
I will remember him as a Theo that offered a helping hand to many, without fuss or expectations.
Good-bye Theo. You will be sorely missed.
Our deepest sympathies to Thea, Jim and Mimika.
