In memory of

Gregory Alan Hickling-Hennessy

June 8, 1964 -  December 11, 2023

Greg Alan HIckling-Hennessy, beloved husband to Suelan, the best dad in the world to Sienna, and loving brother to Elisa passed on Monday, Dec. 11th. He was 59 years old.

Greg lived his life to the fullest and with fierce passion. He was the kind of guy you instantly liked and would make you feel as though you were the most important person in the world when you were with him. He was one of the most selfless people you could ever meet and would be there to help anyone who was in need. He was creative, humble, adventurous, spiritual, philosophical and loved to laugh. He was driven and determined; he put in 100% in everything he did and wouldn't stop until he finished what he set out to do.

Simply put, Greg had the biggest heart in the world and was one of a kind.

Finally, I believe his message to us is this: live your dream and share your passion. Life is short.

If you would like to make a donation in my beloved's memory, consider donating to the March of Dimes Canada. He volunteered in their After Stroke program by sharing his lived experiences as a stroke survivor with many people who had experienced similar medical issues and brought them much comfort and hope.

Please join us in celebrating our beloved Greg at an informal memorial reception. Wearing black is optional as Greg lived his life i technicolour and would want us to laugh and remember all the joy we brought to each other. Details are below.

We will miss Greg very much. Even our son
said that he'll miss seeing Greg around walking Aika. Greg was a good friend. He always has a cheerful disposition even in the toughest times. We used to talk when our dogs met and played. He used to tell me his struggles but in a matter-of-fact way and I would listen. I wished there was more I could do. I prayed for him, Suelan and Sienna. I still cannot believe he is gone. He was a good man, a good neighbor; gentle and kind. He will always be remembered and missed.

We are heartbroken to hear of Greg’s passing. Taken too soon from us all. We will remember and miss his big heart and wicked sense of humour. We are all better for having known him. Our hearts go out to you and Sienna and Elisa.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Greg because, I just moved into the neighborhood at (37) a short time before his passing, but I have heard wonderful things about him and his family, and the passion he had for photography ,may he rest in peace ,and to find strength at this difficult time for his family
