Goudarz Zilaie, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, cousin, uncle and friend passed away peacefully in the presence of his loving wife Parvin Jamaladin on November 30th at 1:30am.

Goudarz is survived by his wife Parvin, sons Sourena and Safa, daughter Paria, son-in-law Adnan, and his beloved grand children Ava and Kian.

Born on February 1st 1949 to Roozali Zilaie and Sahabjon Karimi in Masjed-e-Soleiman, Iran, the 2nd youngest of 5 siblings, Goudarz had 3 older brothers, 1 older sister, and a younger brother. Since his early days, he assumed responsibility for his siblings and took great pride in taking care of them all. He had an entrepreneurial spirit and at the age of 21 he started his own business and at 25 proposed to the love of his life, Parvin. They were married in 1976 and just over a year later they were blessed with their first child Sourena. In 1981 they welcomed their second child Safa and by 1986 their family was complete with the birth of their baby girl Paria. His fearless nature led Goudarz to seek a better life for his family, eventually settling in Canada.

Friends and relatives followed and they built a tight knit community. His loving and open nature brought new friends and he considered all of these relationships his true legacy.

First of all my condolences to his family and friends. I meet ghodarz back in 1986-7 in New Delhi in INDIA, I had a friend his name was Alireza, unfortunately he was in car accident and he lost his life about almost 20years ago. Anyway he was ghodarz cousin and one day he took me to his rented house in defense colony, ghodarz and his family they were just arrived a few days back. Anyway he was a very nice and friendly guy and I am so sorry that he is no longer with his family and friends. My friend I hope you rest in peace and god bless your family. LATIF SHABANI
