Gordon Thomas Raymond

April 4, 1940 -  April 2, 2023

It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Gordon Thomas Raymond at Lakeridge Health Oshawa Hospital on Sunday, April 2, 2023 in his 82nd year. He will be sadly missed by his wife Betty of 45 years, his two daughters Erin and Andrea, son-in-law Mike and granddaughter Violet, as well as members of his extended family. Gord was a mathematics teacher at General Vanier and Donevan Collegiate in Oshawa for approximately 30 years, having retired in 1996. Visitation will be held on Wednesday April 5, 2023 from 5pm – 8pm at THORNTON FUNERAL CENTRE, (1200 Thornton Road North, Oshawa, 905-579-6787). Visitation will take place on Thursday April 6, 2023 from 10 am until time of service in the chapel at 11am. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Lakeridge Health Foundation.

Gord was always game for a friendly chat whenever we ran into each other outside. He always had a smile and kind words for me and I’ll remember him that way. Rest in peace, Gord.
