In memory of

Gordon Kwong Yeung 楊光大先生

January 27, 1951 -  March 30, 2025

Gordon passed away peacefully at St. Michael's Hospital on Sunday March 30, 2025 with family by his side. Beloved husband of Fay, doting dad of John (Chloe), loving brother to Shirley, Joseph, Jennifer, Victor and the late Faith. He had endless curiosity and a passion to read. If he wasn't hard at work on his laptop, or doing-it-himself in the backyard, he could be found nose deep in a history book. His faith gave him tranquility. His sense of humour and loving heart will be missed.

Dear Mrs. Yeung, John, and Chloe,

Please accept my deepest condolences. Mr. Yeung’s warmth, kindness, and quiet intelligence made him one of the great giants of my childhood. I will always remember how quick he was with a smile, generous with advice, and limitless in his patience. May he rest in peace, living forever in our hearts.

I have known Gordon since childhood when we were in Hong Kong. He was a few years ahead of me, but our paths often crossed since we attended the same school then, and again at PUC, followed by Loma Linda. I have always known him to be kind, willing to help others, sincere, and with an infectious smile. He will be missed. He had a strong faith in God. My prayer is for us to prepare our hearts and mind so that we may all meet again when the Lord returns.

Dearest Fay and Jonathan,
Our deepest condolences from all members of our family. I always fondly remember you and Gordon coming to visit mom and dad without failure every Christmas. Mom’s eyes would always light up and she would emit a big smile every time she saw you and Gordon at our home. Gordon was always kind and always a gentlemen. He will be missed by all of us. Our prayers and thoughts are with you.
