Sandra Watson-Brown for the PSU-COC Board & Staff (Chamber colleague and friend)

Entered February 12, 2024 from Port Sydney

We at the Port Sydney/Utterson & Area Chamber of Commerce were devastated to learn of Gord's passing. Gord was a leader in our Chamber for the better part of the past two decades, having served for eight years as President and several years as a Director.
Having grown up as a cottager on Mary Lake, Gord had connections to our community that ran deep, so he was our 'go to guy' - our guide in so many aspects of our work - and he could always be relied upon to lend a hand and to share his knowledge and wisdom with our Board Members and with me. Because he was so experienced, if you knew Gord approved, you knew you were on the right track!
Gord was our mentor, our friend, and our rock, and we will miss him deeply as we carry on our work without him around the table. Gord's contributions to our Chamber are immeasureable and I have no doubt that his advice will echo in our minds as we make decisions for a long time to come. We are fortunate to have learned so much from him.
We wish to extend our sympathies to Gord's brother, Brad, and to his relatives and friends.
Very sincerely,
Sandra Watson-Brown, Manager PSU-COC
