Gordon H. Clack

July 14, 1937 -  August 28, 2022

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gordon H. Clack on Sunday August 28, 2022, at the age of 85. He was surrounded by the love of his life Joan and his devoted family.
The father to Karen (Randy), Lisa (Paul), Cheryl and Greg (deceased). Grandfather to Renee, Brandon (Sadie), Alex, Matt, Maddie (Ray), Ryan, Chris and Mackenzie. Great Grandfather to Lilliana and Jack, as well as a good friend to many! Gordon was extremely dedicated to his family and was always there to mentor and guide his grandchildren to excel in life!
Born to Bert and Lucy Clack in Welland ON, Gordon studied at the University of Buffalo and received a Metallurgist Engineering Degree and also received a Business Degree from York University. Gordon began his career at Atlas Steel in Welland and retired from Abbott Global Healthcare Company in 2000. Gordon had many hobbies, which he learned at the age of 70 years old including; painting and picking guitar while enjoying a cold Harp Beer on the patio in the summer sun of his backyard oasis. He was a lover of listening and writing music and would spend hours listening to his favorite artists. Gordon was an avid military memorabilia collector as well as a researcher of military history. Gordon swam in the senior olympics in 2004 & 2005, and won a Gold and Bronze Medal in the Etobicoke Senior Games. Gordon and Joan loved to travel around the world, including 28 trips to Europe! Gordon’s favourite place was Hollywood Beach Margaritaville in Florida.
The celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, September 6th, 2022, from 3pm-7pm, with an Eulogy and sharing of memories between 3-3:30PM at The Simple Alternative Funeral Home located at 1535 South Gateway Road, Mississauga ON. Please no flowers. Donations will be directed to The Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum as this was a place near and dear to his heart!

What do you say when the man that meant the most in your life passes? You say, wow , how lucky and blessed am i to have had you for the bestter part of my life. Your spirit and incredible ability to make people feel so loved, welcome and cared for. Everything I am today is because you loved me, supported me and talked to me to help me make better choices and shared so much wisdom.
