Gol-Rokh Moghim-Begie

The family of Gol-Rokh “Goli” Moghim-Begie are saddened to announce her passing after a long and hard fought battle with cancer, on May 25th, 2023, at the age of 60. Goli was born on July 23, 1962 in Tehran, Iran. She married the love of her life, Reza, on January 13, 1983. Goli and Reza moved to Canada with their two sons in 2007. Goli had a passion for beauty in its many forms and was herself a gifted artist.

Goli will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 40 years, Reza Samimi; children, Nima, Amir (Bahareh); her beloved grandchild, Armon; siblings, Farrokh, Mahrokh, Farough; and many more family members and friends.

Goli was predeceased by her parents, Moharram and Batoul; and brother, Shahrokh (Zohreh).

Friends and family are welcome to attend a Celebration of Life on Sunday, June 4th, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., with a visitation one hour prior from 9am-10am, at York Cemetery and Funeral Home (the chapel room).
